The We The People site claims that they have a frame coming out that is less than 2kg ( which my intense clinical research indicates is approximately 4 pounds ), but stronger than standard frames out right now. It also says that it will be featured on BMX Online any day now. Interesting...

it pisses me off when bike companies say "we got rid of excess material, but our part is just as strong, or stronger.". it's complete crap. you can't lose weight and keep/increase strength just by removing material and not changing the design or alloy it's made out of. just for example, a hollow axle is not as strong as a solid one. the weight savings of a hollow axle could significant and the loss of strength small, but it's still WEAKER.
not that i'm saying that's what wtp did. either they used an alloy other than chromoly, or some crazy fluted tubing or something.
pretty sure hollow axels and stronger then solid lol, solid may seem like it would be but it really isnt, its all some scientific bullshit i dont feel like typing out, but i agree with you on the frame idea, i dont see how they can remove things and call it stronger but if its true grim reapers are bombproof
Strange, maybe you read it someplace else or between the lines but i didn't read that they'd taken away anything..... they only used a different heat process, in fact not that...the same heat process but on the frame. Neither was alloy mentioned, exactly the contrary....full CrMo .... that's why they did it, not fancy stuff, no stupid holes, expensive Ti ... CrMo, straight guage.
